Monstera Adansonii
This vine gets its name from its large, heart-shaped leaves. As the plant ages, the leaves become covered with holes that resemble Swiss cheese.
It is extremely easy to grow, and it loves to climb. If you give it a stake or trellis to grow upward, you will enjoy larger leaves with larger unique holes.
Position:
Adansonii loves warm, bright, well-lit areas but avoid direct sunlight as this can burn the leaves. Warmth is this vine’s best friend.
Water:
Letting the soil dry out in between watering is ideal. It likes a good soak (depending on size) roughly once a week in summer months and once every two weeks in winter months.
Feed:
Feed monthly during the spring and summer with a water-soluble plant food such as seaweed and/or fishbone.
Humidity:
Normal room humidity is fine however, we recommend you use a humidity tray filled with pebbles or Leca balls and half-filled with water, with your plant pot placed on top. Top up the water if necessary when watering your plant but make sure the water level stays below the top of the pebbles/Leca balls so the plant roots can breathe. The humidity from the tray will keep the leaves lush and the roots moist.
