Monstera Adansonii 'Monkey Mask'
From the ever-so-popular Monstera family comes the eye-catching Monkey Mask. Quickly becoming the "must have" indoor house plant. It is extremely easy to grow and can be grown as a climber, or a hanging plant. If you give it a stake or trellis to grow upward, you will enjoy larger leaves with larger unique holes.
As the plant ages, the leaves become covered with holes that resemble Swiss cheese, with slightly more elongated holes then it’s similar slender cousin the Monstera Swiss Cheese. This is a tropical perennial plant from Central and South America.
Position:
Monkey Mask loves bright, well lit areas but avoid direct sunlight as it will burn. Place near a window or in a well-lit room, but out of direct sunlight. Warmth is this vine’s best friend, so try not to let the room temperature drop below 16 degrees Celsius for long periods.
Water:
Letting the soil dry out in between watering is ideal. It likes a good soak (depending on size) roughly once a week in summer months and once every two weeks in winter months.
Feed:
Feed monthly during the spring and summer with a water-soluble plant food such as seaweed and/or fishbone.
