Njoy Pothos
This cultivar originates from the Marble Queen Pothos. Its name is spelled ‘NJoy’ but has numerous variations.
This stunning plant is in our opinion one of the most striking of all Pothos with its contrasting almost harlequin colouration. If grown upward it can grow incredible sized leaves but if left to trail, it will grow much smaller leaves than most other pothos. It typically has two tones of intense green - sometimes more - contracted with its cream, white and sometimes yellow variegation which is just magnificent. The trailing stems of elongated, heart shaped leaves will root when they come into contact with soil.
The amount of variegation changes depending on the amount of light. Plants grown in darker conditions fade to straight green. Brighter conditions produce more prominent variegated leaves.
If this plant is not in your collection you cannot find a more beautiful addition than this.
Position:
Marble Queen Pothos love bright, well lit areas as well as shadier spots making this plant very versatile when used for home styling. Make sure to avoid direct sunlight and warmth is this vine’s best friend.
Water:
Letting the top 3cm of the soil dry out in between watering is ideal. It likes a good soak (depending on size) roughly once a week in summer months and once every two weeks in winter months.
Feed:
Feed monthly during the spring and summer with a water-soluble plant food diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength - Use our organic seaweed fertilizer for best results.
Humidity:
Normal room humidity is fine however, we recommend you use a humidity tray filled with pebbles or leca balls and half-filled with water, with your plant pot placed on top. Top up the water if necessary when watering your plant but make sure the water level stays below the top of the pebbles/leca balls so the plant roots can breathe. The humidity from the tray will keep the leaves lush and the roots moist.
Soil:
Pothos prefer a well drained soil mix - Use our Pothos soil mix for best results.
